24-hour Helpline for older people

The Silver Line is the UK only 24-hour Helpline for older people, available 365 days of the year.

We are here 24 hours a day, every day and night of the year, when other services are not. We offer, friendship, emotional support and a listening ear, to anyone aged 55 years and over, who feels they might benefit from speaking with someone, for a light-hearted chat, or to share their concerns and worries.

In partnership with Age UK, we also offer Telephone Be-friending for anyone aged 60 years and older. We match older people with volunteers, who call them weekly for a friendly chat.
