Cornwall Rural Community Charity was founded in 1946 as part of the England Wide Rural Community Councils movement that were set up to alleviate rural poverty.
Today we are a modern charitable business that supports individuals and communities to be vibrant, inclusive and sustainable. We work to remove barriers that stop people and places from thriving.
We do this in two ways. Direct service delivery through services like the Kernow Carers Service, Inclusion Matters, Learn Your Way (specialist education provision) and Your Way (Youth Provision) and through infrastructure and capacity building support to smaller community groups and organisations. We admister small grants, deliver training and provide evalation and Social Value services.
We believe in working in partnership and reducing duplication of services. We are committed to working for the people and communities of Cornwall.
