About

Indoor Rock Climbing For Mental Health

Chalk Climbing is a physiical-mental and social activity set up as a free service for the service users within the mental health and addiction services.

As Chalk leader, instructor and support worker, I instruct all aspects of indoor rock climbing from Bouldering to top Rope climbing.

Chalk is inclusive and diverse, this means that no matter what age, what size and what gender, everyone can climb. We have mixed groups and set groups ie. womens group, under 25 mixed to help the relateability between participants.

The day consists of starting around 11am for tea/ coffee and chat/ warm up.

We change from  Top-Roope climbing to bouldering and breaks inbetween.

It is a relly relaxed day with lots of laughter and smiles all round, great topic  conversations and great climbing.

I encourage conversations but I do not push for any thing, the day is completely yours to come and have fun and engage with other like minded people.
