Pilates

Pilates is a powerful, holistic form of mind-body exercise.  It builds overall strength and flexibility, realigns the body, improves posture, coordination and breathing, and reduces stress.  Pilates strengthens the deep muscles of the torso, providing increased stability and protection against injury.

Yoga

Scaravelli-inspired Yoga is a gentle yet powerful, uplifting form of Hatha Yoga, inspired by the work of Vanda Scaravelli.  The focus is on releasing the spine, working with the breath and gravity to increase awareness of the whole body, and connect to the ground through the feet.  It builds deep strength and flexibility, but avoids stress on the joints.  It can bring about profound changes in body and mind.

I have taught studio (on Pilates machines) and group matwork Pilates for 16 years.  I'm a member of the Pilates Foundation.  I have been teaching Scaravelli-inspired Yoga since 2015.  I'm a member of the British Wheel of Yoga.  I teach group classes and also private classes for individuals.
