Are you affected by SAD?

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), sometimes known as 'winter depression' affects many people.

Symptons can include a low mood, sleeping for much longer, becoming less socially active than in the brighter and warmer months of the year, and difficulty concentrating.

There is a support out there for you.  Here's a link to the NHS site which details the symptoms, causes and treatments.

Light boxes and mood calming sounds can all help alleviate symptoms.  Here are some FREE relaxing sounds to download.

You can also ask your local Community Wellbeing Coach or Social Prescribing Link Worker for more information.

Online Resources for SAD:

Mind have a really helpful page that explains more about the causes of SAD, how you can care for yourself, seek treatment and how friends and family can support you.
