We are currently looking for volunteers to support with our workshops and courses here at Leach Pottery. We have an internationally renowned studio and learning team and are looking for volunteers who are passionate about pottery and have some knowledge and experience of working with clay (this does not need to be extensive). You will support our tutors with the preparation of the workshop, help keep the space clean and tidy and support participants if they need additional explanation.
Who we are looking for:
Are you a good communicator who is able to talk to visitors of different ages and experiences? Do you have an inclusive and warm approach? Are you able to assess what learners may need?
Are you organised and able to record and store things neatly? Do you have an interest in local history or pottery? Are you confident with basic clay making processes? Do you have a commitment to adhering to safeguarding practices? (this is essential for all activity volunteers and especially those working with children or vulnerable adults). Do you have a commitment to diversity and inclusion?
