Cafe Abundance
Café Abundance, as part of the network of Real Junk Food Projects around the country, intercepts food that would be binned and turns it into delicious, healthy meals. Tackling the environmental nightmare of putting food into landfill, or the nonsense (in terms of energy lost) of driving waste food to anaerobic digesters is crucial, as is educating the public about minimising food waste. Healthy eating is difficult for those in food poverty and social exclusion is a reality that comes from poverty.
Café Abundance is supporting the local communities of Liskeard, Torpoint and the Rame Peninsula through its weekly three-course meal deliveries - all Pay As You Feel.
We currently also serve up hot soup lunches on Wednesdays and Thursdays at our Unit in Millbrook.
The Pop-Up Cafés are suspended at present due to Covid-19 restrictions. Instead, we are delivering meals every Friday, alternating each week between Rame, and Torpoint and Liskeard.
Just let us know if you would like a delivery by 3pm the Wednesday before, along with your:
