Are you a dedicated individual with a passion for cats and a knack for numbers? We are seeking a motivated and reliable Volunteer Treasurer to join our team at Teignbridge and Torbay Cats Protection. As a vital part of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in helping us make a positive impact on feline lives in our community.

About Us: Teignbridge and Torbay Cats Protection is a local branch of the UK's leading feline welfare charity. Our mission is to rehabilitate, and rehome cats in need while promoting responsible cat ownership. By joining our team, you'll be contributing to our efforts to ensure every cat has a loving and safe home.

Role Description: As a Volunteer Treasurer, you will oversee the financial aspects of our branch. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Handling incoming donations and membership fees.
  • Budgeting and financial planning in collaboration with the committee.
  • Preparing financial reports for meetings.
  • Liaising with the central Cats Protection finance team.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of financial management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets and basic accounting software (training provided).
