Our 'Building Community Fund' 2026/27 is now open!
At Duchy Health Charity, we know that strong communities play a vital role in supporting health, wellbeing and resilience.
That's why we're delighted to launch our new Building Community Fund, the first funding opportunity under our new Community Resilience strategic programme.
The fund aims to support charities and grassroots organisations that are helping people build stronger connections, reduce isolation and create more connected communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
We’re inviting applications from community groups, charities, CICs and other not-for-profit organisations for projects that:
-
Create new, resilient communities
-
Bring new members into existing communities
-
Build links between different communities to increase inclusion and strengthen connections
-
Reduce loneliness and social isolation
-
Help people feel more connected, supported and able to access help when needed
We are particularly interested in projects that engage people who may be at greater risk of isolation or exclusion and initiatives that bring different generations together.
Funding available
-
Up to £25,000 for legally constituted organisations
-
Up to £10,000 for informally constituted groups
-
Projects can run for up to 24 months
The total funding pot available for this call is £150,000.
Who can apply?
We are taking a hyper-local approach and welcome applications from community groups, local charities, CICs and other grassroots organisations working directly within communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Projects must be delivered within, and clearly benefit residents of, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Simple two-stage application process
Stage 1: Expression of interest
Complete a short, one-page application outlining your idea, who it will benefit and the funding required. This is intended to be a light-touch process and does not require a detailed proposal.
Deadline for Expressions of interest to be received:
Midnight, 22 November 2026.
Stage 2: Full application
Applicants successful at the EOI stage will be invited to submit a full application.
More information on the Building Community Fund and full guidance on how to apply, including the Expression of Interest form can be found on our website.
Together, we can help build stronger, healthier and more connected communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
