A 1- day experimental workshop where you will learn how to layer oil and cold wax to create interesting marks, textures and surfaces using rollers, pallet knives and brushes. Over the day you will create wet-on-wet, dynamic paintings, which are malleable from start to finish. You will work on paper specifically designed for oils and will work towards completing a couple of small paintings by the end of the workshop. The workshop will also include information about techniques, as well as tutor lead demonstrations and plenty of time for practice.
Cold Wax is used at room temperature and when combined with oil paints it can be used to produce depth and atmosphere to both abstract and landscape work.
