This is a Pilates class aimed at complete beginners, those who prefer to work gently, and people with low bone density (osteopenia/osteoporosis).
The sessions are a mixture of standing and mat-based exercises designed to improve posture, balance skills and coordination, as well as to maintain and improve joint mobility, strengthen muscles and increase bone density. We use a range of equipment such as light hand weights, resistance bands, toning circles and ankle weights to add variety and challenge to the sessions. By focusing on our breath in each exercise, we move mindfully and calm our nervous system.
All equipment is provided. Booking is essential so the session can be tailored to your needs.
