Join the Monumental Improvement Team for a medieval themed day of fun activities at Bottreaux Castle, Boscastle.
Join us for an in-depth exploration the of this fascinating site and bring with you any archaeological finds you may have discovered to find out more about them! The site has recently had a geophysical archaeological investigation as part of our Monumental Improvement project. Our Show and Tell walks throughout the day will reveal more. Also onsite will be the Historic Environment Record Team who can help you find out more about the heritage on your doorstep anywhere in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. There's more than history to explore, so why not join us on one of our pottery or drawing workshops

Tasha Fullbrook, the former Finds Liaison Officer for Cornwall with the Portable Antiquities Scheme, will be present to help identify any garden finds you may wish to bring along
The hall will be open between 10:30 and 15:30 so feel free to drop in with your archaeological finds, discover more about our work at the site and also find out more about and help protect local heritage. Booking is required to join us on the walks and for the drawing and pottery workshops. Suitable footwear and clothing should be worn for all events and we also advice you to bring along snacks and water.
