Elaine Foster-Gandey Art is proud to present a special exhibition celebrating women artists, creativity and community, opening on Friday 6th March to coincide with International Women’s Day.
The exhibition opens with a Private View on Friday 6th March, 5–8pm, featuring participating artists talking about their work alongside local female poets sharing their work. All are welcome. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
The exhibition runs from Friday 6th March to Friday 20th March, open:
Wednesday–Friday: 10am–5pm
Saturday: 10am–3pm
The show brings together a powerful group of women artists working across textiles, performance and mixed media, including:
Elaine Foster-Gandey - Textile and Multi Media Artist
Rosie James – An Artist working primarily in textiles
Cas Holmes – One of the UK's most renowned textile artists
Jenni Dutton – Multidisciplinary artist/activist
Sue Spence– A self-taught textile and mixed media artist
Denise Watts - An expert in the traditional art of lace making
W1 Cornwall - A warm, friendly inclusive organisation, open to all women
Alongside contemporary textile works, the exhibition will also feature vintage banners and artefacts from W1 Cornwall, creating a rich dialogue between historical activism and contemporary female-led practice.
