We would be delighted if you would join us to celebrate the opening of Seen at The Exchange from 13.00 and What Lies Behind at Newlyn Art Gallery from 18.00
We have a full day of events planned so please dip in and out as you would like to
THE EXCHANGE
13.00 - Performance by YAY, the LGBTQIA+ young curators of Seen, who will be creating a rainbow outside The Exchange.
14.00 - Live music from the band MaleWife, including Jord, one of the young curators.
15.30 - A representative from the Intercom Trust and some of the young curators will talk about the exhibition.
16.00 - An introduction to Seen by Sharp, co-curator and Programme Producer
followed by a speech by Sir Nicholas Serota, Chair of Arts Council England.
The Exchange will close at 18.00 and we invite you to join us at Newlyn Art Gallery to view What Lies Behind.
NEWLYN ART GALLERY
18.00 - Open for a look around the exhibition.
19.00 - Welcome from James Green, Gallery Director, followed by an introduction to What Lies Behind from members of the social prescribing group who curated it, and a speech from Beth Hughes, Curator at the Arts Council Collection.
To 20.00 - The evening continues with live music from Pendans folk duo playing in the covered courtyard.
