The CHAOS Bus Tour – Superheroes of Health and Social Care

The CHAOS Group at Tregolls Road in Truro has been open for business for just over 7 years. Comprising of six partners, working hard to support everyone in the community. We span a range of industries including health and social care, agriculture, hair and beauty and online broadcasting! We strive to offer a range of community services too including creative media services, co-production and engagement tools.

They are partners on several employment projects and through these projects they focus on inspiring and supporting people on pathways into care. This can be support with work experience, CV writing, interview preparation or even exploring the sector and its many roles.

The current recruitment crisis in Health and Social care has been greatly noticed in these projects and the stress and worry is shared throughout the whole sector. Here at CHAOS, we like to think outside the box and we have put our creative hats on to see how we can utilise our resources and support the sector at this time of need.

On Thursday 28th October and Friday 29th October CHAOS is going on tour!! Over 2 days, we will be visiting the following locations:

Thursday 28th October

9.40am (2 hours) – St Austell – Burtons Fore Street

12.30pm (2 hours) – Truro – Lemon Quay

3.10pm (2 hours) – Falmouth – The Moor

Friday 29th October

9.40am – (2 hours) – Penzance – Top of marketplace

12.15pm – (2 hours) – Helston – Boating Lake

We will have a double decker bus full of the following Health and social care providers and employment projects (dressed as superheroes of course):

Employment projects:

Positive People

WDW

Compass

Motiv8

We will all be working together to get out there in our local communities to talk to people about the sector, the opportunities available, bust any myths and answer any questions people may have.

We will have lots of activities for children including The Creature Feature show. We are hoping that by bringing some positive attention to the sector and getting out there talking to people we will be able to inspire people to work in the sector and improve recruitment for all.

More about The CHAOS Group:

The CHAOS Group has been set up as a Community Interest Company which allows us to carry out all our good work but also make money from it to re-invent; a classic social enterprise – socially driven with largely charitable aims. We work with vulnerable people, delivering employability skills and engaging them in meaningful activities. As well as this, the project aims to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in society and breakdown cultural barriers to prevent stigmatization of disability.
