Join Gleaning Cornwall as a Volunteer Delivery Driver!
Are you a skilled driver with a van or a 4x4 and experience towing a trailer? Do you want to make a real impact in the fight against poverty? Gleaning Cornwall is looking for dedicated volunteer delivery drivers to transport large quantities of fresh produce from fields in mid and west Cornwall to collection points across the county.
What to Expect:
- Delivery Days: Typically Tuesdays, with deliveries that can take most of the day.
- Physical Activity: Stay fit and active! You’ll be lifting crates weighing up to 15 kg.
- Meet Amazing People: Connect with our enthusiastic team of volunteer gleaners and engage with local organizations dedicated to feeding those in need.
What We Offer:
- Mileage Allowance: We provide a mileage reimbursement of 45p per mile.
- Flexibility: Whether you can help short-term or longer, your contribution matters!
Ideal Vehicle: While we’ve previously used a pickup truck with a 10ft trailer, a large van is also perfect for this role.
