This is a six week course where we will take a gentle journey together into the wonderful world of yoga and mindfulness.
We will explore a range of breathing techniques, physical postures ( asanas) and mindfulness practises. The class will have a gentle pace with a focus on finding what feels good in your own body. It’s suitable for any level of yoga experience – if you’ve never tried yoga before, this is a great intro!
The course content has been designed specifically to support adults impacted by cancer and is suitable for those currently living with cancer, in recovery from cancer and for anyone caring for a person with cancer.
We will have 8 in person spaces available in the Newquay studio, and 8 spaces online. The classes have been designed to progress over the six weeks so ideally you will join us to practise for the duration of the course, however doing what feels best for you is always the most important priority.
"Is Yoga for Cancer suitable for me?"
You need to be reasonably mobile and move independently. Have all surgical incisions healed and feel that your needs can be addressed in a group setting. We will explore both floor and standing postures.
We believe that the practise of yoga should be accessible to everyone regardless of financial situation. Therefore this will be a 'pay what you can' donation based class. It will be free to book via the online system and donations can be made via the paypal account.
If you have any questions about the course and its content please feel free to reach out to me on [email protected]
