I had womb cancer in 2007 and received great care from the RCHT. At that time there were no support organisations, 1 CNS , and no one talked about my kind of cancer so I hoped to resolve that ! I have been working on it ever since and after opening the first shop and managing to appear on all media including Spotlight, the donations have never ceased.

Men convinced me that their types of cancer should be included and since then the Human Papilloma Virus which is involved in most cancers, has a vaccine. we have a CancerRehab Centre in which Steve Winnan has been transforming cancer patients into survivors for 12 years and we have shops/warehouses in Falmouth which receive donations of goods and clothes to sell all day long and from this we make enough money to employ 32 people six of whom have hidden dissabilities, and fund our Posh Pants shop in Falmouth, as well as our CancerRehab in Penryn.

Because of the huge amount of goods we receive we have sent warm clothing to Syria and Ukraine and help homeless people with warm bedding and clothing etc.(People's permission is sought when they donate) We send rubbish to our Long Downs Centre and have Permits to do this.

Our focus is on recycling- we sell very cheaply and people come to us from all over Cornwall, and further afield when on holiday. We have a £1 shop where all our unsold clothes and other items go. The only money we have is from selling our donations and bad weather and January are hard times for us. We rarely get donations of money, but are supported by our local community for which we are extremely grateful. Falmouth Golf Club and Cooper Surgical in Falmouth have supported us with money. There are many people who would support us but it has been non stop for me for 18 years and I really do not have time to focus on this.
