About

The charity for anyone affected by any type of brain tumour

For more than 20 years Brain Tumour Support has been providing vital support to patients, their families, friends and carers who are living with a brain tumour diagnosis.

The people we support are at the centre of everything we do and our key messaging for Brain Tumour Awareness Month in March encapsulates the heart and purpose behind Brain Tumour Support.

Our message was simple: #SupportMatters #BecauseYouMatter

Supporting you for as long as you need

Brain Tumour Support is uniquely dedicated to providing support for anyone affected by any type of brain tumour, at any point from diagnosis and for as long as support is needed.

We are here not just for the patients themselves, but also families, carers and loved ones who are dealing day to day with the impact of a brain tumour. We provide specialist, tailored services through one-to-one and group support, as well as online and telephone support and specialist counselling.

The origins of Brain Tumour Support lie in one family’s own devastating experience of a brain tumour diagnosis. A tough journey but one which resulted in a pioneering support service which was set up in 2003 and has developed its unique support model through the hard work of its team and the dedication of supporters and fundraisers. The charity’s working partnership with Macmillan enabled the support services to further expand, and with the development of online and ‘virtual’ services due to the COVID-19 pandemic, one-to-one support is now being delivered to patients and families across the UK.

Moving forward we determine more than ever to make real our vision that no one feels alone in their experience of coping with a brain tumour.
