Hi there,

Our names are Nicola Clapson and Louise Morris and we are the Clinical Nurse Specialists for Teenagers and Young Adults in Cornwall with a diagnosis of cancer. We are based at Treliske Hospital and work Tuesday – Friday 9am-5pm.

The aim of the Teenagers and Young Adults (TYA) service in Cornwall is to provide age appropriate cancer treatments, facilities and support for patients aged 16-24 years. We would like to engage with you and the people you care about so you receive the help you want and need from our service.

We will provide

· Emotional and social support; through diagnosis, treatment and beyond

· Support and information for patients, their friends and family

· An additional link with your keyworker/clinical nurse specialist/medical team

· A link to other professionals and support services i.e. Counselling, Psychology or Physiotherapy

· Wig referrals

· Access to age appropriate environments

· Support groups and social activities
