An established Christian Church at the heart of the city, working to extend a welcome to everyone and build community
Many people have been inside the Church and community building at Truro Methodist Church. Perhaps you palyed, sang or supported at the Cornwall County Music Festival, maybe you were part of the uniformed organisations or youth groups. Perhaps you have visited from school or came to Sunday School in years gone by. Some will know of Truro methodist because of lunch clubs and drop-in centres and many have been clients at Foodbank or customers in sambells, the community cafe. We have a large and vibrant worshipping community that shares a variety of styles and time to gather onsite - and our services are streamed live to the internet making them available across the world and to those who are restricted to their homes.
For generations, the people and leaders of Truro Methodist church have tried to set compassion, kindness and service at the heart of our work and commitment as an expression of God's love for every person. We continue to strive to become a place and a people where all are welcome and find a place. We have a vision of a community where - one by one - all the walls that divide are pulled down, and the Table - where we share life, tell stories and encounter one anoither - is growing forever bigger. However you want to engage with community here, you are welcome. There is always room for more.
