What?
Access Lizard Adventure is a not-for-profit CIC that assists individuals who have additional needs to live a more active life. These additional needs can include long term health issues, physical impairments and disabilities, learning difficulties and mental health issues.
The activities we offer improves access to water based paddle sports, specifically kayaking, in order that they benefit from positive interactions with the great outdoors, develop long lasting relationships with peers from similar backgrounds and develop essential life skills such as resilience, endeavour and improved self-esteem through the activities we offer.
We offer fun, high quality experiences that are accessible to all levels and abilities. Adventures can range from one off taster sessions to a series of lessons that could lead to qualifications.
Who?
Access Lizard Adventure CIC is a not-for-profit company. All our activities are heavily subsidised and affordable for all. This is made possible through funding applications and donations. All our instructors are highly trained, approachable, friendly, caring, relaxed and safe. We offer fun activities that are adaptable to personal ambitions and needs. We have a beach wheelchair, a banana board for transfers and cushions and bean bags to support people whilst on the water.
High quality instructors encourage you to push your boundaries safely, develop skills and confidence. High quality equipment is easily adapted to individual needs ensuring a safe and fun experience. Exceptional customer care ensures you feel safe, are cared for and empowered.
Where?
The two main sites are Hayle Harbour, and Clowance Estate, near Camborne. We can also use Mullion Cove on the Lizard peninsula for more experienced kayakers. We use sit-on-top kayaks (doubles and singles) and open canoes, depending on need and availability.

Cost
The subsidised cost of a one-hour kayaking session is £10 per person with additional needs. Support workers are £5 pp.
Affordability – please contact us if you are on a reduced income as we can offer a discount or monthly payment plan.
How to book?
All bookings are made in advance by email [email protected] or phone 07845 204040. We have a minimum group size of 2 participants on each hour, so in some cases you may be asked to move to another time or day.
