Churches Together in Walking
A warm invitation is extended to all who would like to discover parts of Cornwall through walking and enjoy fellowship together whilst doing so.
On each Wednesday, weather permitting, a group of walkers will leave from the car park behind the Skatepark in St Georges Road, Truro. at 9.30 am for a walk of approximately 6 miles taken at a comfortable and steady pace. We aim to be back in Truro before 5 pm. We take the minimum number of cars to carry all walkers and there has always been enough transport to carry all who wish to walk.
Please come prepared for the prevailing weather conditions and bring a packed lunch and drink. In the autumn and especially after wet weather, many paths can be very muddy, so please wear appropriate footwear. To give some idea of the difficulty of each walk there is a grading system, but please bear in mind that weather conditions can up-grade a walk! Some walks may be in-between grades:
E = relatively easy going M = moderate with some ups and downs S = strenuous with some hard climbs.
For details of forthcoming walks, contact Ron & Jean Cooke (01209 711725) pick up a leaflet at Truro Visitor Information Centre, 30 Boscawen Street, Truro, TR1 2QQ, or Truro Methodist Church, or search https://www.visittruro.org.uk/search?search-term=Churches+Together+in+Walking
All are welcome - you don't have to be a church-goer!
Those taking part in these walks do so at their own risk and should take responsibility for their own personal safety and that of their property.
Join us and enjoy the company of a very friendly group of walkers!
