Trengrouse is a 41 bed nursing home for people in need of dementia and mental health care. With qualified nurses and carers, we look after our residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in an uplifting, friendly and warm environment. Our staff are passionate about their roles and get to know each resident individually.
At Trengrouse we specialise in dementia nursing care, supporting our residents so they can continue to make their own choices. A close relationship with the people we care for and their loved ones is very important to us. We always find out what works for each individual to make sure that everyone feels comfortable, contented and happy. Trengrouse is a home from home and it’s this family atmosphere that helps us to create the best person-centred care.
When residents join us at Trengrouse, the first thing that we do is develop a comprehensive care plan with them, setting out the care we aim to provide and how we will achieve this. We assess this plan on a continual basis, working with the resident to ensure that their needs are met.
Our home is built on one level for ease of access and an open-plan layout that creates lots of space to encourage movement. We have some wonderful outdoor areas that are safe for our residents to enjoy, as well as some lovely bright and colourful rooms. The natural light that floods into the building keeps everything sunny and airy, which adds to the serenity. The general feeling at Trengrouse is quiet contentment; it is uplifting, friendly and warm. We take pride in our welcoming and friendly environment and enjoy strong relationships and links with our local community, who visit us often.
