Activities that support and help people cope with the cost of living crisis.
Bringing people together again - for the greatest good.
Our community fridge is a refrigerator in a public space, enabling healthy food to be shared within the community. The food items are sourced from local supermarkets, cafes and and local food growers.
Falmouth Community Fridge is open Tuesdays and Fridays between 5.30pm - 6.30pm.
The main goals are to prevent many tonnes of food waste going to landfill, strengthen and create more resilient communities and help to tackle local food poverty.
The Fridge also boosts the social and environmental image of Falmouth in general.
We are also looking for additional commercial food donors such as cafes to help support the initiative. If you are a local food related business then please get in touch. The Fridge is open every Tuesday and Friday between 5.30pm-6.30pm. (Times vary due to when suppliers are ready to donate).
In addition, if you have spare, indate dried foods or tinned goods such as Pasta, Rice or soups then drop them down and we can pass them on.
Local veg growers:
It's the time of year when we are cropping alot of vegetables, please consider making any surplus available to those who are living in food poverty.
