This Christmas we are providing food for a Christmas meal for the vulnerable and disadvantaged, prepared and cooked at Camborne Parish Church. And as the church is giving its volunteers a week off from Boxing Day, we will provide gifts of a bag of tinned soup, beans etc so the homeless can feed themselves until the New Year.
Both donations from the local community and waste food from supermarkets such as Tesco enable us to provide this service in conjunction with Camborne Parish Church – everybody benefits.
We save food and we change lives
We save good food destined for waste and send it to charities and community groups who transform it into nutritious meals or pack it into foodbank boxes for vulnerable people. The food we redistribute is fresh, quality and in date surplus from the food industry.
But it’s about more than meals. The organisations we supply food to –
- CPR Foodbank
- Troon Community Primary School
- Roskear Primary School
- Rosemellin Community Primary School
- Donald Thomas Centre
- Hayle Day Care Centre
- St. Meriadoc CE Infant Academy
- Weeth Community Primary School
- Trevithick Learning Academy
- St. John’s RC Primary School
