We are now offering our “Good Conversations, Information & Signposting” as a stand-alone workshop.
It is designed for anyone working within the community and who is potentially involved with vulnerable clients or even work colleagues/family members/friends.
Please join us online on December 13th 2021
"Sometimes, it’s hard to know what to say; or you wish you knew who to call in that moment"
Our ONLINE workshop will help increase your confidence and skills to do just that.
The workshops are informal, informative and non-clinical, giving you background knowledge and tools to improve support for people affected by cancer across the county, who to signpost to for help and support, or even just what to say if you are approached.
Our project will come to an end in March ’22, so there is only a limited amount of sessions available now, please book early to avoid disappointment!
Our fully-funded sessions are free to you.
They are 1-hour each with an optional additional half-hour for Q&As.
They are designed to increase confidence and skills for professionals, volunteers and anyone dedicating their time and effort to their community.
If you want to continue you can take the other two sessions (Introduction to Cancer and The Psychological and Emotional Impact of Cancer) to become a Community Cancer Champion. We have dates for these in November, January and March.
We are also offering peer group sessions, 1-2-1 mentoring and a Macmillan Navigation and Cancer Awareness Certificate.
We look forward to welcoming and supporting you as part of our Macmillan Partnership.
