What are the Emergency Response Sessions?

We are running free 90-minute Zoom sessions for up to 12 leaders of charities, community organisations or enterprises at a time. You’ll hear how others are adapting to Covid-19 as we offer a safe space for attendees to offload any challenges they face in their roles.

Dates are available to book until March 2021; groups can also choose to continue to meet on a 6-weekly basis if they wish.

Please note that the online support sessions are not information or advice surgeries. They are facilitated peer support spaces.

Why Should I Attend the Emergency Response Sessions?

First and foremost, it is a place for support and networking, with session attendees spanning various fields and locations. We have seen that this offers leaders an opportunity to meet others they may not have otherwise in their day-to-day role.

Based on what we hear, we produce regular briefings on the challenges faced by the VCSE leaders, focusing on emerging themes and learning. No action is required on the part of the attendees. Our briefings are shared with our funders network to showcase the changing picture of need.

Over 400 charity leaders have joined our Emergency Response Sessions from 1st April 2020 to 19th January 2021. We would like to welcome leaders for charities, community organisations and social enterprises in Cornwall to hear what you have to say!

Responses to the sessions:

“It’s good for mental wellbeing and to have the opportunity to talk and share with others in similar situations”

“I am able to share things that I can’t share with my Chair or staff”

“It was really powerful to be part of one of these sessions… incredible to hear about the wide range of experiences and challenges faced by colleagues and to identify together commonality within that diversity”

How Do I Attend?

By visiting calendly.com/ivar-social-change. You will be asked four questions:

  • What is your registered charity number?
  • Can you tell us in 1-2 lines how this crisis has affected you and those your charity supports (to help with the facilitation of the session)?
  • How did you hear about this?
  • Do you have any access requirements?

Please contact us on [email protected] if you require any further information.
