Mentoring and Guidance by phone - for Unpaid Carers

  • Consists of 4-6 one-hour telephone sessions 

Through mentoring and guidance carers will develop an awareness of the impact that caring has on their lives & develop awareness of personal barriers.

Carers will be able to learn new coping strategies and the importance of caring for themselves using healthy strategies in order to move forward in their lives. 

We will: 

  • Identify needs
  • Identify what people’s expectations are of themselves
  • What does our behaviour say about us?
  • Support carers in making changes
  • Support carers to reflect and create action plan
  • Revisit
We do it by: 
  • Listening
  • Asking questions to help develop our's and the carer's understanding of a situation or problem
  • Provide information and knowledge
  • Provide advice
