Course 1: Caring for Carers

This course will cover the following modules: 

  • What kind of carer are you? 
  • How does caring affect your life? 
  • Understanding and coping with challenges
  • Self care
  • How to create a health balance
  • Are you stressed?

Course 2: Caring for Dementia Carers 

This course will cover the following modules:

  • The different kinds of dementia
  • Cognitive symptoms of dementia
  • Coping strategies for those caring for people with Dementia 
  • Understanding how to respond in a positive way to someone living with Dementia
  • Understanding the grief process
  • Adjusting and understanding new behaviours associated with people experiencing Dementia
  • Developing active co-existence - a way of living and working together

Note: There is support for carers who are using the courses to assist should they need help logging in, lose their password etc.
