Cornwall Link Update - 5th November, 2020
Cornwall COVID-19 Status: Lockdown
We are working with the community and members on Cornwall Link to update the information in our listings. The information may require updates because the national lockdown could have impacted the service, event, activity or volunteering opportunity. While we do this, we advise that you use the contact details in the listings to speak with the organisers directly.
We thank you for your patience while we work on these updates. Please see our community COVID-19 Help page for more information on the regulations.
Grim Sweepers is a metal detecting club. It was initially set up to bring the much-loved hobby to more people, having identified that many people “would love to try it, but don’t know where, or how, to start”.
We realise how much metal detecting helps you ‘escape’ and deal with the world; we asked the question to fellow metal detectorists – whether they have PTSD, depression, anxiety – it’s their escape. They spend time outside, on their own but also making new friends and gaining support from those people.
We are based in St Stephen but travel to many places throughout Cornwall. We have permissions to detect land in various locations in the county.
We provide transport with room for four passengers but encourage more to join us if they have their own transport. We provide all equipment required as well as tea and coffees. Attendees are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and bring lunch & snacks.
Please contact us for more details.
Please note, this listing has been added by a member of the community in good faith and in accordance with the T&C’s of use.
