Quiet Meet Up at the Donkey Sanctuary
Gently connecting those of us who are quieter, more sensitive or socially anxious in a safe, supportive space.
Flicka Donkey Sanctuary Visit
Thursday 16th June at 2:00-4:00pm
Founded over 25 years ago, the sanctuary now provides a safe home for life to over 100 donkeys and horses, all rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment.
Check out the venue here: www.flickafoundation.org.uk
What We’re Doing:
We will be peacefully exploring Flicka Donkey Sanctuary, visiting and fussing many of the animals that have been rescued by the sanctuary.
While some of the rescued animals will hang back due to the trauma they have suffered, lots of the animals absolutely love attention and will come over to greet you immediately.
We will be stopping for a drink and possibly a bite to eat at the end of the visit. The cafe is vegetarian and sells homemade cakes and light snacks.
The sanctuary and tea room close at 4pm.
Many of the animals have a special diet so unfortunately they cannot allow visitors to feed the animals. However they welcome donations of food, which can be dropped off at the office.
Meeting Point:
We'll meet in the Donkey sanctuary car park. Look for Michele (pictured below).
Cost: Free to attend. Donations to the sanctuary welcome.
Please bring money if you would like to purchase a drink or a bite to eat in the tea room.
You must RSVP to let us know you are coming.
