Are you a charity or a group with a community purpose who would like to get out and about more? Volunteer Cornwall owns and operates a minibus on behalf of community focused organisations throughout the county. We make sure that it is properly maintained and we can either provide a volunteer driver for you, or train someone you nominate up to drive it for you. The bus itself is a 16 seater, or it can accommodate 2 large electric wheelchairs (and we can provide the gold standard in wheel chair tie down equipment). It has a fully electric tail-lift for wheelchair users, or just for passengers who find stepping up into a minibus difficult. As you would expect the vehicle and drivers are very much in demand so we do need a bit of advance notice if you would like to book a trip out and it is sensible to check on availability before making your plans. How much does it cost:
The cost of using the minibus is £70 per day excluding fuel and volunteer’s expenses if you require one of our volunteer drivers (typically to cover their mileage to get to our base to collect the minibus).
We will consider half day uses if the vehicle would genuinely be available to another organisation for half the day.
