As a Minibus or Electric Vehicle driver, you could provide transport to fight social isolation for a group of people in Cornwall.
We are urgently searching for Minibus Drivers in Wadebridge, St Ives, Truro, Penzance, Falmouth and Camborne.
What is a Volunteer minibus driver?
Transport is an essential requirement for most people.
For those who are vulnerable and often living in a rural community, it becomes a major factor in their ability to live independent and access the services and leisure opportunities available to them.
All minibus drivers need to be over 24, have experience of driving for 2 years and have a clean driving licence. Midas Training is given and a DBS is required.
Flexible hours are provided to suit the volunteer.
What is an Electric Vehicle driver?
We are extremely excited to announce the purchase of 6 fully accessible Electric Vehicles and designated charge points in Penzance, Camborne, Falmouth, Newquay, Lanivet & St Austell. We are searching for EV volunteer drivers in these areas.
Our EVs are now ready to be used by local groups & individuals as part of our Age UK Cornwall membership scheme. “Our vision is to connect local communities, increase independence and reduce social isolation using environmentally-friendly transport solutions”
