BBC Radio Cornwall

At a time when we’re being asked to work together, BBC Radio Cornwall is sharing details of where people can find help and support from organisations and individuals to make things easier for them during Covid-19. We’re being contacted by many listeners seeking help and advice and we’ve added Cornwall Link to our Make a Difference list because it covers so many different useful contacts. As producers and community reporters, being able to refer to this information is invaluable.

The Make a Difference bulletins are broadcast on BBC Radio Cornwall at quarter past and quarter to the hour on 95.2 FM & 103.9FM.

Guide Dogs

Cornwall Link is a fantastic resource to reach communities in Cornwall. As we don’t have a physical location there it’s so important to have a digital presence and let people know that we’re there to help should they need it. It’s brilliant to be part of this generous community and find out information about other local resources that we might otherwise have missed

Guide Dogs South West provide life-changing support, skills and dogs for people with sight loss. We teamed up with them to spread awareness of their Walk Your Socks Off fundraiser and Guide Dogs South West use Cornwall Link to share their services and events.

The Cornish Bird Blog

It is so important, now more than ever, for us to come together to support and inspire each other in Cornwall. To be there encouraging one another through the tough times ahead and celebrating as a community our achievements, our uniqueness and our collective history. As someone who writes about Cornwall’s history the past can be comforting and reassuring place, helping us to feel grounded and connected to this beautiful place we call home. I am so happy to be supporting Cornwall Link with the wonderful work they are doing and for the amazing platform they have given me to share my love of Cornwall’s diverse history, culture and landscape through my writing.

Elizabeth Dale, known also as The Cornish Bird Blogger, is a freelance writer who aims to connect the community to our heritage through untold stories. We collaborated with Elizabeth on a blog all about the importance of community history, and connected Elizabeth with radio journalists which resulted in a regular evening slot to share her stories.

Storylines CIC

It’s certainly good to bring everything together in one place so people can find access to what they need.

Some kind words from Sarah at Storylines CIC. We collaborated on a blog all about the importance of community history and more information about the wonderful work and projects from Storylines can be found on Cornwall Link.
