I work for a new enterprise at Cornwall Council called PROPER JOB. We work with people that have a Learning Disability and or Autism. Our aim is to encourage people to gain new skills, improve confidence and for some of them eventually supporting them into paid employment.


We have opened a Cafe at New County Hall and are planning to do the same at our Dolcoath offices in Camborne. Giving people the opportunity to work in a Cafe environment gaining skills and confidence to help improve their lives.


We support people also with job related skills, CV and interview practice, attend interviews with clients for support and also assist with job coaching in the workplace if successful.

We also engage with employers to help them better understand how to engage and with people with a learning disability.
