Read Easy is a national charity that helps adults learn to read. There are over 2 million in England; with around 25,000 in Cornwall.
The Read Easy Cornwall group is now in it's third year, and more volunteers are needed so we can reach more potential readers who would benefit from our FREE, confidential, one-to-one coaching programme.
There are a range of roles to be filled, and the skills/experience needed varies - as does the time commitment.
We are interested in hearing from people who think they might like the role of
- Coordinator - A vital role; the person who brings together the potential reader and the reading coach and mentors their progress on thir reading journey by visiting their reading sessions and maintaining support through regular calls. We currently need a Coordinator for the St Austell/Newquay area
- Publicity Organiser - Spreading the word is key to your local community understanding what Read Easy does and how people can get the reading support they need or volunteerto help. You'll be confident using local media& social media and be creative and passionate about communication.
- IT Supporter - Are you keen and confident using tech? Using your skills & expertise you can make a difference to your local Read Easy group.
