Read Easy is a national charity that helps adults learn to read.  There are over 2 million in England; with around 25,000 in Cornwall.

The Read Easy Cornwall group is now over a year old, and more volunteers are needed so we can reach more who would benefit from our FREE, confidential, one-to-one coaching programme.

There are a range of roles to be filled, and the skills/experience needed varies - as does the time commitment.

Some of the current vacancies are:

  • Coordinator - A vital role; the person who brings together the potential reader and the reading coach.
  • Referrals Networker - If you thrive on networking and making new connections, this vital and interesting role offers the opportunity to create and develop relationships with local agencies
  • Local Connectors -  A linking role, bringing together such things as publicity, referral agencies, venues where the coaching takes place, etc.
  • Fundraiser - You will be seeking funding from local organisations that are interested in investing directly into their local communities.

Much more information about all these volunteering opportunities is here: Role Descriptions  This website has lots more about Read Easy UK.
