Transport Access People (TAP) | Community Transport

We provide a safe coordinated, cost effective community transport service throughout Cornwall & Devon. TAP (Transport Access People) is a subsidiary of Age UK Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly. We arrange transport for people who have non-emergency healthcare appointments and have difficulty accessing other forms of public transport.

What do we offer?

TAP provides a dedicated service for people to get to healthcare appointments and a wide range of social activities.

Our volunteer drivers are on hand to provide daily transport for patients, such as; Renal, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Cardio, Scans, Stroke and GP appointments.

We are here to help anyway we can. If you would like to have a chat and find out a little bit more about our services, please don’t hesitate to contact us using the details below:

What we do to maintain your health & safety

Transport is an essential requirement for most people. For those who are vulnerable and often living in a rural community, it becomes a major factor in their ability to live independently and access the services and leisure opportunities available to them. TAP perform an invaluable role, providing individuals, organisations and groups with an opportunity to find out what transport is available, identify the cost, book and coordinate the service.

This service is a safe form of transport which has been specialised to make sure that it is easier to get people to their appointments. We offer a friendly, door to door, cost effective alternative to public transport and taxis. Every volunteer driver is DBS checked and MiDAS trained in passenger awareness and safety issues, and they always carry appropriate PPE.

Please note, this listing has been added by a member of the community in good faith and in accordance with the T&C’s of use. Cornwall Link site operators are not responsible for the quality of the information or service listed. We implore people to stay safe and vigilant during this time. Please take a look at our Safeguarding and community resources for guidance on connecting with individuals and services via Cornwall Link.
